He was predeceased by: his parents, Josephine Olive Pickroel and Arthur Leroy Howerter; and his brother Mike Howerter. He is survived by: his children, Max Howerter Jr. and Kim Howerter Solane; and his sister Vicki Nelson. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
