He was predeceased by: his parents, Manley Leroy and Mary Louise Cook Smith; his siblings, Robert Smith and Paula S. Baker; and his brothers-in-law, Mike Potter, Benjamin Paxton, Sr., Phil Burgess and Thomas Baker.

He is survived by: his children, Glenn E. Smith, Jr. (Donnette) of Leesville, Brian Smith of Leesville and Kenneth Smith of Gaston; his wife Patricia Smith; his grandchildren, Zayne Murphy, Alec Smith, Tyler Smith, Paige Smith, Gage Smith, Dillon Smith and Nichole Smith; his great grandchildren, Jaxson Murphy and Avery Murphy; his siblings, Roy Smith, Carl Smith, Mary Paxton, Deborah Potter, Cathy Burgess and Mark Smith (Sandi); and his former wife Brenda Gail Woodruff. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other extended family.
