The memory of Sue Creel of Pamplico, South Carolina, who passed away on February 25, 2025 at the age of 88, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Stewart "H. S." Smith and Julia Brook Clyburn Smith; her husbands, Hampton Wilson Johnson, Don Creel and Herman Hendricks; her son Hamp Johnson; and her siblings, Vernon Smith, Carol Spurgeon, Ruby Griffith, Paul Scott Smith and Amous Lee Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Wade Creel (Reené) of Pamplico and Deborah Walters (Maxie) of Florence; her grandchildren, Shane Phillips (Samantha) of Burlington, NC, Adriane Gainey (Lee) of Murrells Inlet, Amber Tyron of Lexington, Abby Morris (Michael) of Florence, Austin Creel (Jessica) of Pamplico and Bailee Creel of Pamplico; her siblings, Coyzetta Smith Bazen of Pamplico, Sonny Joe Smith of Vermilian, OH and Regina Smith Duncan of Glen Daniel, WV; and her siblings-in-law, David Ray Creel of Pamplico and Cheryl Creel Trayner (Bill) of Pamplico. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren; great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Beulah Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery - Bazen Crossroads (235 W Bazen Rd, Pamplico, SC 29583). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
