In the sacred silence of farewell, James is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that James' spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Norris Plunkett, Sr. and Willie Eugenia Mims Plunkett; and his daughter Ashley Plunkett Fitch. He is survived by: his wife Susan E. Plunkett; his daughter Christy Plunkett-Barese (Eric) of Burke, VA; his brother Danny Plunkett (Lucy) of Columbia, SC; and his grandchildren, Lukas Barese and Grace Fitch. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Dukes-Harley Funeral Home Chapel (3379 Columbia Rd NE, Orangeburg, SC 29118). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 at the Memorial Park Cemetery (2720 Broughton St, Orangeburg, SC 29118).
