He is survived by: his wife Lillian Cleckley Spells; his sons, Wayne Spells (Nellie) of New Jersey and Angelo Spells (Ernestine) of Brooklyn, NY; his grandchildren, Quincy Spells (Arika) and Corine Spells of Brooklyn, NY; his siblings, Lillian Spells Frazier of Orangeburg, SC and Gilbert; and his sisters-in-law, Thea Cleckley of Orangeburg, SC, Lucinda Spells of Orangeburg, SC and Betty Spells of Elmont, NY.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
