He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Edgemon and Ethel Metts Edgemon; his wife Betty Jo Collins Edgemon; and his children, Alvin "Al" E. Edgemon, Jr. and Wanda Faye Edgemon.
He is survived by: his son David Wayne Edgemon (Tracy) of Cordova; his grandchildren, Samantha Nicole Edgemon, Austin Wayne Edgemon, Jordan Jerome Edgemon, Michelle Corbett Felkel and Jason Robert Corbett; and his siblings, Dot Morris of Orangeburg, Doris Edgemon of North Carolina, Charlotte Black of Rock Hill and Tommy Edgemon (Evelyn) of Orangeburg. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
