He was predeceased by: his parents, Simp Strickland and Irene Miller Strickland; his wife Martha Jean Strickland; his son Kent Strickland; and his brother Paul Eldridge Strickland.
He is survived by: his son Sandy Scott Strickland (Lori) of Hartsville; his sisters, Mavis Strickland Huggins (Danny) of Aynor and Marjorie Pack (Charles) of Florence; his grandchildren, Martha Brock Strickland of Charlotte, NC, James Scott Strickland of Columbia, Cullan Strickland (Ashley) of Sterling Heights, MI and Louis Strickland (Claire) of Conway; and also Margie Cooper.
