She is survived by: her husband William "Bird" Burgess Laye Jr. of Mountain Rest; her mother Sue Adams; her children, Trip Laye (Sommer) of Walhalla, SC, Nick Laye (Brandon) of Westminster, SC and Beverly DeSeve (Lee) of Merritt Island, FL; her brother Wayne Adams (Ellen) of Walhalla, SC; her grandchildren, Hayden Laye, Kiersten Laye and Trey DeSeve; and her stepgrandchildren, Leland Martin, Willis Martin, Aden Martin, Michael Murray and Owen Murray.
