He was predeceased by: his parents, Jennings Gary McAbee, Sr. and Patricia "Patti" Herring McAbee Eison (Tommy) of Greenville, SC; and his brother Martin Townes McAbee. He is survived by: his wife Mamie Jeannine Studdard McAbee. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Jennings may be made to the Martin Townes McAbee Scholarship Fund, C/O Clemson University Foundation, PO Box 1889, Clemson, SC 29633, McCormick First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 416, McCormick, SC 29835, or to a charity of one's choice.
