He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace Drummond Barbour and William Van Barbour; his wife Shirley Freeman Barbour; and his daughter-in-law Fritzi Bormann Barbour. He is survived by: his children, Jane Barbour McVay (Wes) of Simpsonville, SC and Steven Freeman Barbour of Simpsonville, SC; his siblings, Graceanne Barbour of Kennebunkport, ME, Nancy DeAngelis of Midlothian, VA, Frances Martin of Greenville, SC and Joel Barbour of Greenville, SC; and his grandchildren, Austin Wesley McVay (Kelly) of Lexington, SC and Meredith McVay Crews (Matthew) of Campobello, SC..
