It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Virgil Bennett Simpson of Mauldin, South Carolina, born in Clinton, South Carolina, who passed away on August 9, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Hunter, Sr. and Mary Etta Lynch Simpson. He is survived by: his daughters, Janet Gilchrist (Martin) and Emily Helmick; and his grandchildren, George Martin Gilchrist III (Katie) and Ashley Howard (John). He is also survived by four great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church and Shriner's Hospital.
