She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Henderson and Mary Henderson; and her husband Douglas Brister, Sr.. She is survived by: her son Douglas Woodrow Brister, Jr.; her daughter-in-law Shani B. Brister of Piedmont, SC; her grandchildren, Douglas Brister III and Camille Brister; and her siblings, Mary L. Shedrick (Charlie) of Edison, Delonia Starr of Orlando, Florida and Jimmy Henderson (Frankie) of Albany, Georgia. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
