She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond H. Smith and Leila Raines Smith; and her sisters, Sue Sloan, Lois Smith and Sara Westmoreland.

She is survived by: her son Gary Evatt; and her nieces, Lynne Murrell (Steve), Kay Morris (Brad), JoAnne Raycroft (Kenny) and Deene Dunn.
