He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander and Lannie Thompson Finlay, Jr.; and his brothers, Jack Finlay and Abe Finlay. He is survived by: his wife Norma Mullinax Finlay; his son Alexander "Sandy" Finlay IV (Sharon) of Simpsonville; his grandson Alexander Finlay V; his great grandchildren, Jonah, Russell and Davis Finlay; his sisters-in-law, Adrith Thayer, Sarah Rowe and Susan Finlay; and his nephew Joey Finlay.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to: Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Rd., Greenville, SC 29605.
