He was predeceased by: his parents, Doyle Powell and Barbara Powell; his sister Teresa Powell; and his grandson Abraham Balawi. He is survived by: his children, Eric Powell (Kelli) of Columbia and Shannon Balawi (Abdallah) of Central; his grandchildren, Adam, Mismeh, Jeremy, Gabriel, Hanan, Cameryn and Maleah; and his former wife Brenda Powell.
