With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mattie Garrett Waldrop of Laurens, South Carolina, born in Woodruff, South Carolina, who passed away on March 20, 2023 at the age of 98. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mattie Garrett Waldrop to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Ruth and Eula Nelson Garrett; her daughter Libby Jean Waldrop; and her granddaughter Ashley Ginn Porter. She is survived by: her children, Deborah Waldrop Ginn (Sammie), Toby Brent Waldrop (Wanda) and Randy George Waldrop (Donna); and her grandchildren, Kristen Woods (Ashley), Heather Ginn, Kyle Waldrop (Beth), Ethan Waldrop and Ray Tumblin. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren and thirteen great great grandchildren.
