He is survived by: his children, Larry R. Herbert, Jr., Vergia Herbert Mgbo, Phyllis D. Herbert, Vernessa L. Dickens (Duane Sr.) and Teresa H. Pearson (Frank); his siblings, Willie C. Herbert, Dorothy Williams and Margie Byrd (Robert); and his aunt Elizabeth T. Kilgo. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
