He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Hix and Georgia Bledsoe King; and his siblings, Robert, Ray, Shealy Carlton, Heyward and Connie Sue May (Nancy Coker).
He is survived by: his siblings, Larry King and Betty JoAnn Sanders of Clinton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
