He is survived by: his children, Rodney Eugene Long, James Robert Long, Jr. (Brenda), Darcey Simmons, Daryl Simmons, Jacqueline Lovette (Jerome) and Teresa Smiley; his siblings, William Long Jr., Christopher Williams (Kaye) and Frances Harris; his siblings-in-law, Wanda Williams, Bessie Eaddy Williams, Cora Sales, Johnnie Mae Vance, Azalea, Tommy Simmons, Claude Simmons and Bennie Simmons; and his close friend Mattie Bowers DeBramaletta. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
