She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis W. Evans and Sylvia Stewart Evans; her son Carl Lee Gibbs III; and her grandson Aiden Wilson. She is survived by: her fiancé Steve Hawthorn; her children, Kris Wilson and Melissa Taylor; her grandsons, Cole Wilson and Evan Taylor; and her sister Amber Tarver (Al).
