It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Scott D. Whitaker of Lancaster, South Carolina, who passed away on February 18, 2023, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny William Whitaker and Patricia "Patsy" Sinclair Whitaker; his brother Johnny Nelson "Pimper" Whitaker; his aunts and uncles, Rachel Adams, Janice Snipes, Kevin Lisenby and Ray Adams; and his nephew Rocky Whitaker.
He is survived by: his children, Candace Whitaker of Pageland, SC and Mitchell Whitaker of Pageland, SC; his siblings, Crystal Whitaker of Gastonia, NC and Jevin Whitaker (Tina) of Mt. Croghan, SC; his sister-in-law Bonnie Kimmer of Lancaster, SC; his nieces, Misty Crenshaw (Kyle) of Kershaw, SC, Chassity Whitaker of Lancaster, SC and Blair Black of Mt. Croghan, SC; his nephew Johnathan Whitaker (Morgan) of Marshville, NC; his aunts and uncles, Mildred Hefner, Freida Helms, Judy Sinclair, Sonya Rivers, Charles Sinclair, Danny "Buck" Sinclair and Timothy "Zeke" Sinclair; and his fishing buddies Ben Massey.
