With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mae Williams of Lancaster, South Carolina, born in Rock Hill, South Carolina, who passed away on May 21, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Morris Bailes and Annie Louise Clinton Bailes; her husband Douglas Williams; and her siblings, Agnes Bailes Roberts, Jane Bailes Watson, Virginia Bailes Hagan and Carl M. Bailes, Jr..
She is survived by: her sister Dorothy Bailes Price of Gaffney; her children, Debra Ann Williams Sowell and Richard Douglas Williams (Laura); her grandsons, Kevin Williams Sowell (Kimberly) and Benjamin Thomas Sowell; and her great grandchildren, Julia Summer Sowell of Lancaster, Jason William Sowell of Lancaster and John Mark Sowell of Lancaster.
