With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Cage of Lancaster, South Carolina, born in Carthage, Tennessee, who passed away on February 13, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Patsy Ruth (Petty); his parents, John William and Opal Elizabeth (Pruitt); his brother Robert Lee; his grandson William "Porter"; and his siblings-in-law, Carrie Sevier and John Robert Petty Jr..
He is survived by: his sons, John "Kevin" (Brenda) and William Jeffrey; his grandchildren, Mallory Cage-Beck (Josh), Stefanie, Karson, Keaton and Briggs; his siblings-in-law, Joan Cage, Myra Hayes, Jo Dillehay and William Petty (Charlotte); his daughter-in-law Karen; his friend Myrtle Beach; and also, Sandy, Terry, John of Captain, USN., Allen, Joan Kelly, Dennis, Kathy Herron, Randy and Josie Leonard.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either The Salvation Army or Memory & Movement of Charlotte (http://www.mmclt.org) or a charity of your choice.
