He is survived by: his wife Geneal D. Witherspoon of Kershaw, SC; his sons, Ernest L. Witherspoon Jr. (Beth) of Woodstock, VA and Victor D. Witherspoon (Tomika) of Atlanta, GA; his stepsons, Terrence Carr of Charlotte, NC, Derrick Drakeford and Mwanza Drakeford; his daughter Sylatha L. Freeman (Rashan) of Atlanta, GA; his stepdaughters, Kamilah Green (Cedric) of Fort Mill, SC and Gwendolyn Drakeford of Kershaw, SC; his siblings, Robert Frierson of Kershaw, SC and Carrie Strong of Charlotte, NC; his mother-in-law Carrie I. Drakeford; his brother-in-law Willie James of York, SC; and his close friends, Sonny Bailey III, Rev. Eddie Moore and Jerry White. He is also survived by six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, seven step grandchildren.
