She was predeceased by: her husband Robert M. Gaskins; her parents, Walter "Shorty" Avant and Lelia Mae Cribb Avant; her brother Roger Avant; and her nephew Brooks Lee.
She is survived by: her daughter Patricia "Lynn" Wainscott (Brian) of Scranton; her grandson Robbie Wainscott of Scranton; her stepgrandchildren, Brian Wainscott, Jr. and Hunter Wainscott; her great grandchild Macie Wainscott; her stepgrandchildren, Colton Hudson and Willow Wainscott; her sisters, Dorothy Powell and Wanda Windham; her nephew Boggie Powell; and her niece Teri Osborne (Ricky).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Home of Teri Osborne and Ricky Garris (2515 Diamond Ln, Scranton, SC 29591). A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the E. V. Gaskins Cemetery (522 W Main St, Lake City, SC 29560).
