It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lavone Eugene Lee of Kingstree, South Carolina, born in Florence, South Carolina, who passed away on January 23, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his spouse Gail Nexsen Lee; his parents, William Hillard Lee and Leola Tedder Lee; his son Russell Lee; and his brother Ervin Lee.
He is survived by: his sons, Greg Lee of Kingstree and William Lee (Doryelle) of North Charleston; his granddaughters, Shaina Lee of Kingstree and Alice Lee of North Charleston; his siblings, Danny Lee (Stella) of Cades and Gloria "Betty" Poston (Gerald) of Pamplico; his sister-in-law Linda Lee of Long Beach, MS; his daughter-in-law Angel W. Lee of Kingstree; and his close friend Jeanette Crawford of Kingstree. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
