She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion J. Jones and Julia L. Williams Jones; her husband Napoleon B. Giles; her brother Marion Jones; her grandparents, Hattie, Reverend Benjamin Jones, Mary and Jasper Williams; and her parents-in-law, Albert and Edna Giles.

She is survived by: her friend Delores Jones Giles; her son Napoleon F. Giles; her grandsons, Napoleon Jalin Giles, Dante J. Giles of Kingstree and Quinlan X. Giles of Rock Hill; her siblings, Hattie J. Steward of Boston, Mary M. Jones, Genora J. Kennedy of Walterboro, Willie F. Jones and Clarence B. Jones (Fannie) of Boston, Massachusetts; her goddaughters, Marrissa A. Jones, Yolanda P. Kennedy of Walterboro and Winifred Pendergrass of Kingstree; her brother-in-law Columbus Giles of Columbia; her goddaughters, Whitney Scott and Hazel Gaskins; and also Anthem James Starkey.
