She was predeceased by: her husband Wilbur C. Cook Jr.; her parents, Dr. Virgil Marion Haygood and Arvonia Sizemore Haygood; and her brother Howard M. Haygood of Augusta, Georgia.. She is survived by: her daughter Elizabeth Cook Blanchard; her grandchildren, Garland Haygood Blanchard and Parker Steele Blanchard (Emery Alice Carr); and her nieces and nephews, Charles Ashley Royal (Ellen), Jerome Atticus Connell, W. Emory Dunn (Mary Charles), Toni Ann Royal (Elizabeth Urquhart) and Carla Ann Royal.
