She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Sammons and Mary Frances Holcombe Sammons; and her siblings, Patsy Poole, Billy Sammons and David Roy Sammons.
She is survived by: her husband Donnie Simmons; her daughters, Tracy Simpson (Jeff) and Mary Simmons Glenn (David Burnette); and her grandchildren, Ashli Simpson, Amber Gosling, Austin Glenn and Emilie Glenn. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
