She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hall and Lola Mae Bruce Thompson; her husband James Blackwell (Pit); her sons, Jackie and Bobby Blackwell; her granddaughter Denise Ramey Boggs; and her siblings, Alma Blackwell, Isabella Hunter, Mildred Henderson, Fannie Williamson, John Hall, Jr., James, Bobby and Bruce Thompson.
She is survived by: her children, Doris Shabazz, Shirley Fant, Alvin Blackwell (Cindy), Anthony Blackwell and Jerome Blackwell of Anderson, SC. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild;four sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends.
