It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jackson Henry Byars of Irmo, South Carolina, born in Jefferson City, Missouri, who passed away on October 13, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Warner Shields and Grace Josephine "Jo" Byars. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Jason Byars (Megan) and Gretchen Ward (Brett); and his siblings, Jane Bedsworth (Larry) and Mark Byars, Sr. (Pam). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
