He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Doris Allen Reed and Charles W. Allen; and his brother Charles Allen Reed. He is survived by: his wife Teresa Outen Reed; his sister Marie Reed Finch; his children, Cynthia Ann Reed Gerstner (Chris), Kenneth Allan Reed (Tena), Jason Christian Reed (Angie), Angela Reed Millen, Tracy Reed Steagall (Kevin) and Margaret "Mags" Walker; his grandchildren, Megan Reed, Gabriel Reed, Heather Powers, Jessica Backman, Lindsey Reed Rabon, Alleya Reed, Robert Millen, Matt Millen, Crystal Glenn, Kevin Steagall and Christopher Steagall; his nephews, Bill Finch (Gina), Reed Finch and Chuck Reed; and his niece Tina Reed.
