He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Nathaniel Gandy, Sr. and Cora Lee Shumake Gandy; his son Jeffery Paul Gandy; and his siblings, Betty Sansbury, W. C. Gandy, Ren Watford, Earlene Teal, Lexine Street, Carolyn Gandy and Hubert Gandy.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Libby" Parnell Gandy; his children, Mary Gandy Funderburk (Rickey) and Raymond "Robbie" Gandy (Chrystal); his grandchildren, Jamie Funderburk (Sherri), Kellie Garrett (Len), Ginger Yengel (Andy), Lance Funderburk (Kim), Stephanie Gandy, Heather Windham (Braxton) and Holly Smith (Kelsey); and his sister Evelene Tyner. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
