He is survived by: his wife Annie Erwin Hammond; and his children, Lewis, Gregory Hammond (Jennifer), Elaine H. Weatherford and Kathy Hammond. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
