He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Grooms and Melissa Grooms; his wife Brenda B. Grooms; his daughter Mona Newsome McLain (Todd) of Patrick, SC.; his grandchildren, Hannah and Wells Newsome; his great grandchildren, Kamp and Livy Newsome; and his sisters, Jeanette Howle of Hartsville, SC and Barbara Mayers (Robert) of California.
