She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles McEllree and Mary Moody Keiffer; her brothers, Charles Keiffer and Ellree Keiffer; and her brother-in-law Vernon Cawthon.
She is survived by: her husband Ted Carothers; her children, John Carothers (Mary) and Mary Read (George); her grandsons, Joseph, Daniel, David Carothers and Samuel Read; her siblings, Jerry Keiffer (Becky), Mary Ann Stewart (James), Lillian Ruth Cawthon and Dinah Keeton (Chuck); and her sisters-in-law, Tillie Keiffer and Katherine Keiffer.
