Tom P. Cockrell Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Tom P. Cockrell (Greenwood, South Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 26, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Tom shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Tom farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Cockrell and Willie Mae Leopard Cockrell; his son Mike Cockrell; his siblings, Christine Matthews, Sophie McDowell and O'Neal Cockrell; his stepdaughters, Kathy Cromer Williams and Deborah Joy Johnson; and his daughter-in-law Mary Beth Cockrell.
He is survived by: his children, Lynn Williams (Ricky) of Candler, NC and Tim Cockrell, Sr. of Mountville; and his stepdaughter Haley Griffin of Greenwood. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Blyth Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1425 Montague Ave, Greenwood, SC 29649). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
