Sylvia Davis Herlong Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 26, 2025, at the age of 70, Sylvia Davis Herlong (Greenwood, South Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Webster Leon "Web" and Carrie Frances King Davis; her brother Mitchell Davis; and her sister-in-law Maxine Davis. She is survived by: her husband James B "Jim" Herlong; her daughters, Melanie McWhorter of Sante Fe, NM and Bonnie McWhorter of Ware Shoals; her brother Kenny Davis of Ware Shoals; her sister-in-law Kay Davis of Ware Shoals; her grandchildren, Gabrielle "Gaby", Niko Rael, Zane and Mia Burke; and her nephews, Barry Davis (Marie) and Scott Davis (Kris) of Ware Shoals.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Coronaca Baptist Church (300 SC-246, Greenwood, SC 29649). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at the Oakbrook Memorial Park (3007 US-25, Hodges, SC 29653).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, Coronaca Baptist Church, 300 Hwy 246 N Greenwood, SC 29649 or to Hospice Care of the Piedmont, 408 W Alexander Ave., Greenwood, SC 29646.
