James Dudley Byars Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Dudley Byars (Greenville, South Carolina), who passed away on November 15, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy James Dudley leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though James Dudley may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Dye and Katie Virginia Greene Byars; his wife Mary Ann Jones Byars; and his son Thomas "Tommy" Wayne Byars. He is survived by: his son Randy Byars; his grandson Joseph "Joey" Byars (Ashley Williams); his great grandchildren, Kensley and Kaylee Byars; and his brother Gerald "Jerry" Byars.
