He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carl Thomason and Janice Thomason; his sons, Khalil Burnside of Greenville, SC and Jaylan Pennie of Greenville, SC; and his siblings, Jayda Groves of Greenville, SC, Jasmine Thomason of Greenville, SC and Tonio Groves of Charlotte, NC.
