With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn Holliday Gay (Great Falls, South Carolina), who passed away on May 11, 2022 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dave P. Holliday and Edna Mae Jones Smith; her husband Walter Gay, Jr.; and her sister Faye Jeffcoat. She is survived by: her children, James A. Jones, Sr. of Great Falls, Paul Harris, Jr. of Washington State, Carolyn Hood of Ridgeway, Janice Edwards of Conway, Marion Plyler of Heath Springs, Sheila Cook of Great Falls and Helen Taylor of Great Falls; and her siblings, Simon Smith of Rock Hill, Samuel T. Smith of Georgetown and Ernestine Irvin of Georgetown. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren.
