She was predeceased by: her parents, James W. Putman and Lottie Mae Jones Putman. She is survived by: her children, Faye Shaw Brown, Willie J. Shaw, Linda Shaw Butler, Janice Shaw Redmond, Sarah Shaw Allen and John Wesley Shaw; and her siblings, J. W. Putman, Roosevelt Putman, Clay Putman, Juanita Sullian, Joan Stoddard and Edith Putman. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
