She was predeceased by: her parents, Tessie Mae Johnson and Melvin Rowland Tice Sr.; and her sisters, Glenda Dossey and Sonya "Dee" Williams. She is survived by: her husband Charles Mims; her children, Nick Mims (Jami), Leslie Johnston (Burk) and Lindsay Hicks (Joey); her siblings, Charlie Tice (Sha), Willie Tice (Linda) and Debra Rhoden; her grandchildren, Bransyn Mims-Burton, Jonathan Metts (Mallory), Jennifer Metts, Nolan Johnston, Larue Hicks, Joseph Hicks, Nicholas Mims, Charles Hicks and Harvey Hicks; her niece Heather Walls; and her pets, Gibbie, Jack, Copper and Gracie "Mae Mae".
