She was predeceased by: her mothers, Carrie Baker Fulmer and Willie "Nelle" Whisenant; and her stepson Keith Glisson. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Glisson; her children, Michael Sheppard (Zella) and Kathy Holley (Billy); her daughter-in-law Brigitte Sheppard; her stepchildren, Mike Glisson (Teresa) and Paula Hardee; her stepbrother Bobby Golden; her grandchildren, Seth Holley (Bre), Zachary Holley (Stephanie), Kristin Huffman (Daniel), Jessica Sellers (Reese), Jerome Spurlock (Vicky), Priscilla Hickox, Brad Glisson (Stephanie), Paul Glisson (Jackie) and Anthony Medlock (Candie); and her caregivers, Margaret, Brittney, Monica, Angela, Virgil, Tammy and Shirley. She is also survived by 19 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in Shirley's memory be made to Breezy Hill Baptist Church, 612 Ascauga Lake Rd Graniteville, SC 29829.
