She is survived by: her children, Wyman Alfred Chavis (Linda), Margaret Thomas (Frank), Loretta Livingston (John) and Teresa Echerer (Scott); her daughter-in-law Gloria Chavis; her close friend Tootie; her sisters, Lillie Chavis (Morris) and Francis Chavis; and her extended family, Dr. William D. Strickland and Dr. Joel W. Duncan. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, her friends and family.
