He was predeceased by: his wife Vivian Elaine Gunn Blanton; his parents, James Garnel Blanton and Ruby Whelchel Blanton; and his siblings, Ophelia Hammett and James Blanton (Buddy).
He is survived by: his children, Michael Dover (Kayla Martin) of Gaffney and Denise Wilson (Terry) of Gaffney; his sisters, Elaine Blanton of Gaffney and Mildred Mahaffey of Gaffney; and his niece Tammy Cobb of Gaffney.
