It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Patton of Gaffney, South Carolina, who passed away on July 27, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Patton and Theora Wood Parr; his stepparents, Elvira Patton and Melvin Parr; and his siblings, John, Joseph and Norma.

He is survived by: his wife Judith "Judi" Harmon Patton; his children, Marc Patton (Jacque) of Inman, Cathi Patton of Gaffney and Wendi Patton (Rod Taylor) of Gaffney; his sisters, Helen Maye Goetze of Alabama and Karen McCatherine (Danny) of Tennessee; his siblings-in-law, Ronnie Harmon of Ohio and Beverly Allison of Ohio; his grandchildren, Taylor Patterson (Josh), Dylan Patton (Elena) and Ashley Murray (Brendan); and his great grandchildren, Milas Patterson, Madison Murray and Owen Murray. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

“Hello. This is Jeff Demorest, one of his numerous nieces and nephews. My recollection of Uncle Robbie is of him being in his twenties when I was a little kid. I can remember going up the stairs in a split-level home in Ohio which was Uncle Rob and Aunt Judys house. Now it seems like I blinked and became an old guy nearing 70. My daughter Kristi with her husband Wes, two daughters, dog and cat really wants to move to Charleston. I wish that could have happened while Uncle Rob was still alive.”
