He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Poole McAbee; his parents, James McAbee and Bessie Howard McAbee; his siblings, Robert McAbee, Earl McAbee and Gladys Byars; and his son-in-law Larry Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Scott McAbee of Gaffney, Kelly McAbee (Tracy) of Gaffney and Kim Jones of Gaffney; his grandchildren, Shannon Jones, Derrick Jones, Brandy Jones, Scottie Eller (Andrew), Noah McAbee and Kelsey McAbee; and his great grandchildren, Landrey, Maddie, Ryder, Chloe, Mila, Jacey, Morgan and Logan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
