With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Dennis Franklin Sr. of Gaffney, South Carolina, born in Waynesville, North Carolina, who passed away on July 27, 2023 at the age of 70. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lewis Franklin and Hettie McAbee Franklin; and his brothers, Sam Franklin, Roy Lee Franklin and Kenny Wayne Franklin.
He is survived by: his son James Dennis "Rambo" Franklin, Jr. (Dawn) of Gaffney; his sisters, Betty Wallace of Gaffney, Ginger Wallace of Gaffney, Patricia "Cookie" Coyle (Runt) of Gaffney and Kay Bailey of Gaffney; and his grandchild Laylon Sullivan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
