He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Moore Kaufman; his son Dale Kaufman; and his sister Phyllis Dawson. He is survived by: his sons, Gary Kaufman (Eva) of Mt. Gilead, NC and Norman Kaufman of Biscoe, NC; his grandchildren, Ben Haywood, Jackie Haywood (Josh Ball) and Whitney Kaufman; and his great grandchild Luna Rose Haywood Ball.
